And, it's just an honor to be with you guys. Hey. My name's Eric Kingsley. If you don't know, I wanna say hello. Welcome to La Guina Miami Church. For some of you, this is your very first time.
For some of you don't even know what this church is all about. We're a Brazilian church that has 600 sites worldwide. The home base is in Bello, has, 90,000 members. And, it's one of the largest churches in the world. It's a spirit filled church that believes in the supernatural, believes in miracles, healings. We've had people watching online that have gotten healed supernaturally, people with their kidneys healed, pastoral.
God's just moving in a supernatural way. It's been unbelievable. I've never felt the presence of God in twenty years in the American church fire I feel here. And I love it. I wanna be here all day, every day. God is in this place.
And, I'm just so honored that I got the opportunity to go to a Bible college with Andre Valadon twenty years ago. If you don't know him, he's one of the most amazing worship singers on the planet Earth, and his dad is the founder of this church. And, it's amazing what happens when you obey God in the little things. Twenty years ago, I didn't think where I'd be today because of my obedience to go to Bible school. I had so many options to talk, but I obeyed to go where I knew God said to go. And I think No, look what I would hype missed if I had not obeyed back then.
No important to know who the Holy Spirit is. Amen? That's what we're talking about here at church. We just started a, a series of talks called frequency about tuning into the voice of God. You know, we always wonder, what is God saying? How do I know it's him?
That's what this the next few months is all about. We wanna know who the Holy Spirit is. Is he a person? How does he talk to us? And every week, we're building a foundation so that you'll learn a little bit more and a little bit more. So by the end of this, you'll know without a shadow of doubt, God is still alive, God is still speaking, and he wants to speak to you.
He wants No to speak to you. He wants to give you divine direct, insight. He wants to lead you. He wants to guide you. He wants to comfort you. He is a good father, and his son, Jesus, is a good God.
And his spirit, his presence, the Holy Spirit, has come to live on the inside of you and speak to you and give you direction, give you clarity, help you to to to go around obstacles or go through doors that seem to be shut, to blow through them, to shout the victory and the walls come down, even when everything looks that it's impossible. God is in you. And God is a person. The Holy Spirit is a person who has thoughts and feelings, has minds and a will and emotions. And, you know, there's entire groups that will say God is just a fire. You know, God is just an it.
There's a lot of people that say that. You know, Star Wars came out, you know, and they, you know, he's reformed, Luke. He's a force. But they, you know, they don't know where he's, you know, what is this fire? How does it operate? Is it in a Jedi Knight somewhere on some obscure planet?
You know, it's crazy. But people think that's how who the Holy Spirit is, that he's just some energy that's out there. And maybe if I stand in a certain position, I might feel him when the sun strikes me at noon. But that's not who the Holy Spirit is. He is a person. He is God.
And it's so important that we see him as a person. Why? Well, because if you don't see him as a person, you won't develop a personal relationship without him. And God wants to have a personal real with God, like they had in Genesis, like Adam and Eve walked around talk about dreams and having, you know, all these desires and and empowering us to do great things. That is what God desires to have with us, this amazing personal relationship with you. But you have to see him as not an it, as not a force, but he is a person.
Amen? And he has a mind. He has a will. He has emotions. See, we have God the Father, we have God the Son, and we have God the Spirit. That's all their functions.
God, hype functions as a father. God, he functions as Jesus Christ in the fluff. And then we have the spirit of God. But his name is God. It's all God. All three of them are one.
And he's in you, the Bible says. He's the Bible says you are the temple of the Holy Spirit. That he's no longer in a box, that he's no longer behind curtains, that only one person could go and see and and and talk to, like talk in the days. No, no, no, no, no, no. He's a person, He's given you power. He's given you authority as we sang No that when you declare and speak to the storms like Jesus did, the talk stopped.
Jesus came down as a person to show you and me how to walk with and in the power of the Holy Spirit. But you have to know that he has a personality, he's a person, and we need to take time to build a relationship with him. We needed to make time to know him. And that's why we're here. You know, a person has feelings. Right?
Now, I know animals have feelings. Kind of. They're good. That's why we have vegetarians. They're like, oh, they have feelings. We don't want to hurt the animals.
We only eat plants. But then I think, doesn't talk have ears? Ear of corn? Corn of I mean, when you cut the corn, don't they have feelings? I don't know. It has life.
I'll stop. Sorry. I just love that God created cows, and he created flowers, and he created it all for us to enjoy. Amen? But he's a person. And if you you you have to understand that he has feelings, and that he wants to develop a relationship with you.
Real, and they love real. But this tree has life, but it doesn't speak to you. Stool. Someone made it. You can sit on it. But a person has feelings.
A person is someone you talk to, and they're going to communicate back to you. And the only way you get to know a person is by house, spending time with them. Amen? The Holy Spirit is a person. He has feelings. And I want you to understand that after hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years, they've discovered we have discovered that a person is made of three parts of the mind, will, and emotions.
Amen. The soul, the soul of man is made up in three parts. You have a spirit, you have a soul, you have a body. You have the mind, which is how you think. You have these will that is your fire, and then you have these emotions that are your feelings. Right?
And these three things help that the Holy Spirit wants to help you think like God. He wants to help you have the desires like God has. Psalms 37 says, Delight yourself in the Lord, and hype gives you the desires of your heart. The Bible says, Let this mind be in you, the same mind of Christ Jesus to be in you. He wants to give the Bible says that God has thoughts that are higher than what your ways. He has thoughts.
God wants us to think like him. The Holy Spirit wants to help you think fire God thinks. The Holy Spirit wants to help you desire the things that God desires. Amen? The Holy Spirit wants to come and help you, feel the way God real. Like when Jesus would see people that needed help, it says he was moved, compelled with compassion to help, to say, we got thousands of people here.
Where's the boy with the fish? Let's multiply it, boom, now because they need food. That's what the Holy Spirit does. He wants to give you a mind to think like God thinks. He wants to give you a heart to desire the things God wants you to fire, and he wants to give you these feelings, because he's in you. God in you.
Christ in you. The hope of glory, the scripture declares. Corinthians, you are the temple of the Holy Spirit. People ask, where is God? He's on the inside of you. You don't have to go look somewhere.
You don't have to go no run to a conference. You don't have to He's in you. He's a person, and hype wants to communicate with you. He wants to speak to you. He wants to lead you. He wants to guide you.
Amen. Well, who we talking about? The Holy Spirit. Amen. And when you know him and when you understand how he operates, then you could tune in to his frequency. You can get clear direction from him.
Amen. Because he said, I will lead you and guide you in all truth. The first thing I want you to understand about the Holy Spirit is he has a mind. John sixteen thirteen, it says, But when hype, the spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you, he will guide you, he is your guide into all the truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak only what he hears. What hears from who?
Your father? And he will speak what he hears, and he'll tell you things to come. He will show you things to come. How does he guide you? How does he know all this? Because he has a mind.
He has knowledge. He knows all Kingsley, past, present, future. He's the alpha, the omega, the beginning, the end. He is God the father, God the son, God the holy spirit, and he's come and he lives in you, and he has a mind, and he wants to guide you. He wants to help you. He is God.
Have you ever thought of this? What is God's IQ? You know what IQ means? It means intelligent quotient. It means to measure your knowledge. You can't measure God's knowledge.
It's unmeasurable. Albert Einstein had an IQ of two zero fire, so it's just a few points higher than mine. But God, you can't measure how much hype He knows all. God knows all. He is all. He's in all.
He's omnipresent. He's omni everything. He has a mind. You know, God never has a new thought because he already No. He never has a new hype never wakes up and says, I didn't think of that today. I'm so glad, Jesus, you mentioned that to me.
No. He already has everything. He has a mind, teach you everything you need to know. He will teach you how to raise your kids. He'll teach you how to be married. He will teach you what to do and not to do.
He will teach you things when you don't even have a Church, because he is the great teacher. He is the great I am. He is God, and he wants to give you everything that you need. He's a person, and he lives on the inside of you. Amen? No if you think he doesn't communicate like a tree, you'll never ask him a question.
If you think he's just a force, you're never gonna talk to him. You know, a lot of us, I think, we have defaulted because we don't see him physically. We have put him in this category of just this mysterious force or almost like he's like a tree. We know he's there, but we just say, oh, he's there, and we go on. No. No.
No. He speaks. He guides. He leads. He'll correct you. He helps you.
He's a comforter. He's a guide. He communicates with your spirit that you're the sons and daughters of the King of Kingsley the Lord of Lords. He leads you into repentance when you do things wrong. He's a person, and he wants you to talk to him. He knows everything.
I remember years ago, twenty years ago, I was in Kansas, the small little Church. I had these good friends. Erik, and I was like, that's weird. And later that night, like 08:00 that night, I got a phone talk, and it's about my friends saying, Oh, you know, we're going to leave the church. You know, we don't like the youth group or blah blah blah blah blah. And I was devastated.
I played cards with these guys. I was their friends. And then the Holy Spirit reminded me about that note of what he said to me that morning. Already let me know something that was going to hype, even if it wasn't something good at the moment, but that I was going to be okay. Talk time with him, when you know he'll communicate to you, not just talk to him, but you'll receive back. And let me tell you, years later, they came talk.
They repented. They were sorry. They got this gossip. It's okay. We all make mistakes. But thank God for the Holy Spirit.
He's a person. He wants to speak to you. The Holy Spirit has the mind of God. He is God. Let this mind be in you that is in Christ Jesus. You have it.
It's yours. That's who you are. Will. Act sixteen six, the disciples fire going to go into Asia, go into all the world, preach the good news. But when they were going, the Holy Spirit forbade them to go in. But when they were going, the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit forbade them to go in.
Well, wait a minute. I think, didn't God don't you want them saved? Yeah. He redirected them. And they came back later. You know, Mary and Joseph, remember?
They're pregnant. God speaks to them in a dream. Hey, go to this other city, because King Herod's about to kill all the kids two and under. So I want you to be safe and go. But he tells the disciples, I I forbid you. You know, if you've had I got three Kingsley, 14, 12, and 11.
You know, before dinner, sometimes I forbid them to to eat sugar, to eat snacks, to eat sweets, don't eat. Guys who are about to eat, don't eat. Why? Because I know I want them to eat the whole meal. I I took all this time. But the Holy Spirit has a will.
And he exerted his will to save them from walking into something that he knew would be bad for them. So here's the question. If he has a will, and his will and the will of God and he is God, who wants to know God's will for their life? Who wants to know? I do. Don't you?
What God, what do you want me to do? What am I supposed to be? What have you called me to do? Let me say this. Let's get to know God. And when you get to know God, you'll find out his will.
When you get to know him as a person, that he has a mind and a will, his will, When you get to know God, you will find out his will. He'll show it to you. He'll talk to you. He'll communicate to you. Amen? He loves you.
He is a good, good father. That's who he is. And he loves to give good gifts. Every perfect gift comes from above. He loves to give wisdom to those who ask in faith. He's good.
He's God. So as what's his will? Number one, his will is his word. That's his general will. When you read his word, it teaches you how to be a good husband. It teaches you how to manage your business.
It teaches you certain things in life that's already there. It's his general will. But then there's his specific will. And that's what we all want to know. Am I supposed to marry this person? Am I supposed to work at this company?
God, is this the house I should buy? Because it's not written in the scriptures, right? Hector, you're gonna marry. No. You had to find out his will. So you have his word, but then you also need his specific direction.
I remember years ago, I worked. I love this family. This doctor, he was healed of this heart condition. And I grew up in a divorced home. And so this family, anytime you went to their house, around 06:00, they had dinner. I love food.
So I was there as much as I could. Some of their kids went to the NBA. Just an amazing family. I loved them. And I always thought, I want my family like that. Father asked me, Eric, I have this job opportunity for you, you know, to be a manager of this new business I'm gonna start.
Opportunities. You know, like talk these opportunities, and you know, what am I supposed to do? Man, and when he would ask me, I just felt like that's it, right? Man, I feel God, I feel So I helped them move, and I prayed from Oklahoma to Kentucky. I forgot how what it might have been, how long that drive was. And I just prayed and prayed and prayed.
God, show me. What do I do? I got all these opportunities. They're all good opportunities. They all look good on paper. But for some reason, in my heart, I knew I shouldn't work for him.
I can't tell you why. I loved him. Declined, and I went a different direction. And months later, he got arrested for 17 counts of wire fraud from the FBI, went to prison for five years. And I think, talk God, I was gonna be the manager of that company? I just had these visions of being in jail, getting arrested, not knowing that I was facilitating something.
I had no idea. I had no idea. But for some reason inside, I knew by the will of God, this was not God's specific will for my life. The Holy Spirit will speak to you. He's a person. He's got information for you.
He has a mind. He'll show you things to come. He has a will. Amen? And he wants you have his word, and then you have his specific will that comes by the voice of the Holy Spirit that you can tune in to that frequency and know from heaven that, hey, this per okay, here's another verse. Years ago, first girl I ever dated in college wasn't a Christian.
I went to a Bible college for a couple years, and then after I went to a Christian university or Roberts University, I met this basketball girl who spoke three languages, French, and Italian, and Arabic, and she wasn't a Christian. I know what the pastoral will of God says. Don't be yoked. Don't be connected with unbelievers. I prayed, God, you know, what could happen? Oh, God, you No, what could happen?
Oh, Lord. And I knew. I knew his word. I fasted for three days. I about died. At the end of the fast, God's general will came back to my mind.
Eric, you know, I've already answered your question. I know you want it to be different, but you already know my will. And I obey. Thank God. Thank God. We have his general will, but we also have his specific will.
As we get to know the Holy Spirit, that he's a person that he wants to communicate to you, that he loves you, that he wants to share with you, he's gonna give you specific information. He'll lead you. He'll guide you into peace, into truth. He'll give you sign. And we're gonna talk about that, what that looks like real soon. But I'm laying a foundation because God wants to speak to you.
The first church I ever took, I was 21 years old. I didn't know if I should do it. It was in a small town in Kansas, farmland. I drove there thinking, I don't want to do this. It was the last thing I ever want to do is stand up and talk to anybody. And I drive out into the middle of No.
This building and this small little place, looks like a house, and I'm 21, I'm like, God, what do you want me to do? And I just felt like you said, Feed my sheep. Feed my sheep. That's all he said, feed my sheep. And I was there ten years feeding the sheep. That was his specific will.
He showed me. The Holy Spirit wants to speak to you. He wants to show you. He wants to lead you. He wants to help you. He is God.
Amen. And hype will come to you and let you know of everything that you have ever been worried about, or talking about, or dreaming about. He has a will. He has a mind. And he wants to guide you into all truth. Amen?
I remember there was these moms at the Church. This was twenty years ago. And they had two sons that were going on a spring break trip to Mexico. You know what that all means, probably. And they came to me and said, Pastoral. God has spoken to our hearts.
Our kids should not go on this trip. And we have their pastoral, and it's their senior trip. We know how important it is, but we know that something bad is going to happen. Talking about God, the Holy Spirit, he has a will. He leads you. Guys, are they telling me, we know they shouldn't go.
We know they shouldn't go. Oh, well, you know now. Did they listen? No. They let their kids go. When they're in Mexico, they went into a bar.
There was drugs involved. There was two arrests involved. There was attorneys involved. There's kids that were in jail for six months in Mexico, in a Mexican prison. Holy Spirit. $60,000 later and six months of torment, and then they came home. And I'll never forget, pastoral, we know.
Both the moms in my office, They shouldn't go. We know something's gonna happen. Who's telling him that? The holy spirit. He's a person. He talk.
And he wants to give you specific He is God. He knows all. He sees all. He is a person. And let me tell you, Church, this is the greatest time to ever be alive. Years ago, thousands of years ago, God would only speak to one person and give his direction.
He would speak to Moses, and that was it. Direct would put his spirit on different prophets at different times. And then there was times where four hundred years went, and all we know is that no one heard from God for four hundred years. Maybe they did, but it's not written. Acts chapter two, the Holy Spirit was poured out on all flesh. And what was prophesied in Joel chapter two was then reiterated in Acts two.
And they stood up and said, this is that which was promised the Holy Spirit has been poured out on all fluff. Sons and daughters are gonna prophesy. How are you gonna prophesy unless someone is telling you something to say? God is speaking and he wants to speak. Old it says, young men will dream have visions. Old men will dream dreams.
Talking about the Holy Spirit. He has a will and he's here. This is the greatest time. He's not in a box. He's not in the tomb. He's not in a he's not behind some you No, he's in you.
He's in you. Amen. The Holy Spirit is in you. You. Lastly, he has emotions. You No, he's a person.
Galatians five twenty two twenty three talks about the fruit of the spirit, of the spirit is joy. A person has joy. The fruit of the spirit is joy. A person has joy, is peace. A person has peace, kindness. You people, we are kind by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Faithfulness. We are faithful. People are faithful. Gentle. Self control. This is the fruit of the spirit.
These are all characteristics of a person, of who God is, of who the Holy Spirit is, the fruit of the spirit. It's talking about the spirit of God. Amen. But it also goes on in Ephesians four thirty. It says, don't grieve the Holy Spirit. You know, we can cause God grief.
We can hurt God's feelings. Right? In Ephesians four thirty, it says, do not grieve the Holy Spirit. Grief is an Imagine. Right? It's an emotion.
When you lose someone you love, you're sad. Why? Because a disconnection takes place. Intimacy is broken because now they're no longer here and you're sad about it. And the thing that you're sad, you're not going to be able to hang out with them or fellowship with them. And I know we've had people die and loved ones die and that's we real and that's okay.
Do wrong. We can grieve the Holy Spirit. In Ephesians four twenty five, it says, put away lying, put away cheating, put away stealing. When you lie, it grieves the Holy Spirit. Right? When you cheat, it grieves him.
It breaks intimacy with God. You are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. You are sealed by the covenant of God. He is faithful even when you're not. That is a fact, Jack. You are with him.
You are sons and daughters of God. But I have kids and I see them, like, maybe try to put their hand on the stove. I say, Stop. Why? Because I know that if they touch something hot, it will hurt him. See, when we mess up, when we do things wrong on purpose, it hurts God because he knows how much it's gonna hurt us.
It grieves him. When I see my kids do wrong or things that I tell them to do, like go to bed at ten, it hurts me. Why? Because I know if they don't get their rest, they could get sick. That's just one reason. And I don't want my kids to get sick.
I want them to be blessed. I want them to have a good day at school. I want them to be healthy. I don't want them to get sickness and disease. I right? So it grieves us.
We grieve the holy spirit. He has emotions. You can hurt his feelings. Because when grief comes, it's a break of intimacy. Right? You understand what I'm saying?
Bible says we've all sinned. All of us. And you know what I'm talking about. You No? When he direct you to give to someone and you don't you feel that maybe when you put in your heart to say a word of encouragement and you hold talk, you know, whenever you lust after something that you shouldn't have, it's, oh, there's I feel this disconnection. I don't feel right.
I feel this grief that comes. We lose intimacy. We lose intimacy. We lose intimacy. Real lose that comes. We lose intimacy.
And it's like this. It's like in American football. The Holy Spirit comes to you, and you know his written word, and you know his specific will, and he's in you, and sin comes, or and he's trying to tell you No and run the and we stiff arm the Holy Spirit. We put up we say, you know what? I'm not dealing with that. I want stay away.
That one thing, I like to keep doing. I'm a stiff arm you. But then I want, when I lead my GC group, Holy Spirit, come and give me a word from heaven. And when I lead worship, I want your presence to be there. You know, whenever Uh-uh. That's my thing, and I want to keep doing that thing.
Oh, you want me to start serving? No. I know it's in the word, but No. And we stiff on we grieve the holy spirit. It gets sad. We lose this intimacy with him.
You know what I'm saying? It's all it happens to all of us, myself included. And what I believe today is that God wants to give us the opportunity just to reconnect with him. That if we've grieved him to tell him we're sorry that stuff anymore. We're not going to get fluff. We're not going to get pornography.
We're not going to lie. We're not going to cheat. We're not going to steal. We're not going to tell white lies. We're not going to gossip. No the whole story.
Hype loves me. He loves you. He is God. He's got good plans for you. He wants to give you the best life and the best marriage. He wants to give you the the best business.
And he wants hype wants to give you everything that you've ever desired. He has a mind. He wants to give you all the knowledge. He has a will. He wants to direct you in every way. But he has emotions.
And we hurt him when we do things that he knows will hurt us. Lord, I thank you. That is, we're in your presence. You're speaking to our hearts. Lord, if there's sin in our Lord, we No, all of us, myself included, we have things in our life that are not of you, that Lord, maybe for years you've been dealing with us, and we've put to the fire, we've stiff armed you, and we said, No, no, no, no, no. And we're we're upset.
We wonder how come we don't hear from heaven? How come we don't experience his presence? How come we don't hear from God like we used to? And it's almost like a cell phone that has l t service, but then it goes to g, and then it goes to e. And we have this connection with God.
But man, there's always these disturbances. There's always these moments that drop where we don't have signal. And we're constantly trying to tune in to the voice of heaven. And I'm here to tell you, I believe that we've grieved God, and he's sad. Doesn't mean you're not saved.
Doesn't mean you're not his child. But it just means there's things that we've just read about Forgive us of our sins. Forgive us of our mistakes. Forgive us thinking that those things will actually bring us the joy of the Lord. And And right no, as we pray, with every hit bowed and eyes closed, how many of you today would just be honest with God and just say
